Dr. Ice - Balls of British Steel
Could an American company get away with promoting a bobsledder with the tagline "Dr. Ice - Balls of British Steel"? I doubt it. But maybe that double intennuendo is missing half its meaning in the old country.
Check out (no joke) http://www.shave.com/balls, and believe it or not this link is *completely* fine for work. You can see Kristan Bromley, the British men's bobsledding hopeful for the 2006 Winter Olympics, careen down the luge from the perspective of his helmut-cam, sponsored of course by King of Shaves. That's Kristan Bromley, a man named Kristan. Can you name a man Kristan? Does the "A" make it masculine? Maybe it's the Balls of Steel which makes it masculine. If that's not weird enough I hear they drive on the other side of the road over there.
