New Shaving Blog - BarberBlog.com
Just got an email from our friends over at SharpsUSA about their new blog BarberBlog.com. We covered Sharps earlier in the month when they were having a great sale. Hope you took advantage of it. Now the guys are back with a new blog, covering all topics barbershop related from shaving to haircuts and other means of hair removal. My two favorite entries are the Jesus Shaves T-shirt and the guide to what type of moustache you should have depending on your face, nose, and mouth. I'm guessing my big mouth means I should go triangular.

Hi there, i received a shaving gift pack for Christmas just past, first thing i did was safely put the gift away with no intention of using it, i have bad skin on my face so i only use Gillette and always have, i was afraid of changing incase a knew product made my face worse, that was until i ran out of my usual cream and had a big night out, i reluctantly pulled out the gift set and decided to use it, its called The Real Shave.. i have been converted to using this at all times now, it seems to have help my face not look as red and bumpy which is an amazing feeling as i have had this for years and thought i always would, The Real Shave is a great product and there is a big range to choose from, with this i have almost forgotten i had bad skin as its helped me so much.. does anyone else use this product or have heard or it, i think it is manufactured in England somewhere. its sells in boots but i have heard they is a cheaper shop online somewhere thats sell it. does anyone no of this site i'm looking for?
Where can I get "Boots Aftershave Balm" in the US?
The return of the beard
According to this article on FT.com, the website for the Financial Times stubbles and beards are making a comeback.
Men’s grooming expert Carmelo Guastella owner of the Melogy Salon, has noticed something about a growing number of his clients: they’re getting hairier. The return of the fuzzy face not only chimes with the recession, but it also makes a statement about a change in values. “The beard suggests freedom and independence. It’s a small act of rebellion,” says Guastella. “And I think every man has felt the urge to grow a beard at some time in his life – it’s an outward expression of masculinity.”
I'm a recent convert to wet shaving having been introduced to it after a barber shop shave at Cape Town's Waterfront. They make their own shaving soaps, no alohol, and so light, not at all oily and wonderful aromas. I get my stuff from them at www.englishshavingshop.com
has anyone checked out londons newest addition to the grooming sector? My mate swent last week, www.murdocklondon.com, its become the most popular grooming shop in town , getting loads of press, anyway they are pioneering a new interpretation of the traditional wet shave.
Just got in a new line from Germany called 'Frankmans'...take a look at www.amazon.com and punch in keyword 'Frankmans'....the shaving brushes, razors, and sets are top of the line quality and are selling at a introductory low price
Just got this shaving kit as a gift. Check it.
The whole concept is the shit, shower and shave ritual you have every morning. So they have stuff for each part of that ritual.
Basically, the "Nature Calls" drops are INSANE. You drop 3-4 drops in the bowl be4 you go #2 and your lady will never even know. It obliterates the smell instead of a lame cover up. This little dropper bottle fits in my pocket for trips to the office can...or of course, if out with a new lady...or up in the morning after a late night with a new lady, she will never be the wiser!
Seriously. I couldn't make up something this killer.
The other stuff they have is cool. Forget the 100 products out there helping you fix your razor burn. They have a product called Razor Rinse you put directly on the blade be4 you shave and it kills whatever is on the blade...which is what actually causes the razor burn..so this product really actually PREVENTS it. They have an after shave "the balm" that actually numbs/cools your face. This shit is cool and it came in a branded wooden box.
