Would You Like Ants With Your Razors?
A couple weeks ago we posted about Gillette Fusion razors at Amazon - an 8-pack was only $14.99. (If you missed it the price is back up to $24.99.) So I bought two 8-packs, thinking that for less than two bucks a razor it was a good deal. This morning a box from Amazon showed up at my office, filled with ants. Live ants. Oh yeah, I think there were some razors in there too.
After smushing most of the ants that hadn't taken refuge in my keyboard, I surfed on over to Customer Support at Amazon and sent in feedback which went something like:
Shipment of razors arrived. Box included live ants. I didn't order ants. Requesting an RMA so I could return them... (the ants)
Well score one for Amazon's customer service. Later this afternoon I received an email from Neeraj:
I am sorry to hear about the problem you experienced with your shipment. I have placed a new order for the item. There is no charge for this replacement. [...] If you need to contact us again about this return or the replacement order, please visit the following link and select "Returns &
Refunds"
So after all is said and done, it appears I will end up with 32 Fusion razors for only $29.98 - less than a buck a razor. And a bunch of ants. Not a bad deal if you ask me. Thanks Amazon! Maybe you could include a bottle of RAID with the next shipment.
