Celebrity Facial Hair Friday - Borat
Jagshemash! This week's celebrity facial hair pick is a faux Kazakhstani reporter Borat Sagdiyev, known more affectionately as simply Borat. Borat is the creation of Sacha Baron Cohen, and until now could only be seen as one of the characters Cohen plays on Da Ali G Show. However today Borat steps out on his own in the movie "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan". If you have a sense of humor, go see it. If not, stay very far away.
Borat is notoriously over the top, and his facial hair suits him. The moustache is exaggerated, just like the Borat character. It's fake (he's a fake reporter), it's foreign, (Kazakhstani), it's ridiculous. It's also designed to make you instantly judge the man as out-of-touch and awkward - the piece de resistance to put his interviewees at ease. And then toy with them as only Borat/Cohen can.
It takes a talented man to pull this off. Think you've got the "hram"?
