Celebrity Facial Hair Friday - Henry Waxman
Lots of political scandals in Washington these days - Walter Reed, the Justice Department, and who was that CIA agent again? Oh yeah, Valerie Plame. Before this whole US Attorney firings blew up, we were being treated to testimony on who and why Valerie Plame's identity as a CIA agent was leaked. And leading that charge was California's 30th district Representative (the fightin' 30th!) Congressman Henry Waxman, Chairman of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform.
Well today we're taking a break from all that probing and posturing, and instead pondering the protrusion on Waxman's upper lip. Yep, I'm talkin' 'bout the 'stache. Doesn't it make him look a little like David Cross's Tobias Fünke from Arrested Development? (Yeah, I just whipped out the umlaut.) Makes we wonder what he'd look like without it. Probably not a lot better, although slightly younger.
On the shave it or save choice I'm going to have to go with save it. Never thought I'd say that for a mustache, but I think he'd look even goofier without it. And what's that silly grin all about? These are tough, divisive times.
