This Just In - Philips Norelco Arcitec
The Philips Norelco Arcitec hits online and retail stores on July 8th, and we've been fortunate enough to receive one several weeks in advance. (Hey Steve Jobs - how about an iPhone?) This is a totally new and futuristic design from Philips Norelco - three heads floating above the base. The picture to the right shows the Arcitec in its stand (which smartly has several suction cups on the bottom so you don't mistakenly knock it over). The 1090 model which we got also includes a plastic case (great for travel) which complete encloses the Arcitec, but still provides the ability to charge even when encased. What I'm trying to say it, the thing looks really well designed.
Other cool features include:
- Multi-Purpose Display: Battery Full and Charging Indicators, Shaving Head Replacement and Cleaning Indicator
- Hair Collection Chamber
- Washable
- 60-Day Money-Back Guarantee and a Full Two-Year Warranty.
The Philips Norelco Arcitec 1090 will start at $239, and there will be several other models coming in at a lower price point. We'll be trying the Arcitec out over the next week or two and will report back our findings. In the meantime click on over to Gizmodo's Arcitec review and see how this new electric razor stacks up.
