First Thoughts On The Philips Norelco Arcitec
Had my first shave with the Philips Norelco Arcitec the other day. It's been a while since I've shaved with an electric razor and the technology has improved greatly. Here are three of my initial reactions:
Plus - Ease of Cleaning
The three heads of the top of the razor pop open and allow for easy cleaning. Not only that but you can run them under water. Very convenient and very easy. And worth it. I was shaving on several days growth, and after I cleaned out the hairs halfway through, the shave got noticeable better.
Plus - Wide and Forgiving Shaving Area
The Arcitec's three heads cover a lot of ground. I was able to shave my cheeks with a couple swirls. Also, the heads are mounted on springs so they have a little give. This makes them mold to your face rather than dig out a divot.
Minus - Trimmer
While I consider it a big plus that the Arcitec has a trimmer (for sideburns or other existing facial hair), the trimmer wasn't able to shave close enough to double as a razor itself. I think with some practice I would be able to maintain the lines of my sideburns with one of the rounded heads on the top of the Arcitec, but I was hoping that the trimmer - since it's a straight line - would be able to do that for me.
More to come as I use the Artitec again.
The Philips Norelco Arcitec 1090 will be available on July 8th.

I am interested in an electric shaver for the first time.
From my reasearch 2 new ones seem to be entering the market I am interested on your thoughts comparing them
The first being your review of the new Philip Norelco arcitec 1090
The second being the Braun Pulsonic 9595
Both claim to be the closest ever shave and far supperior from previous models.
Both are similar priced
Any comparisons
