Popular Mechanics' Review of the Braun Pulsonic
A couple weeks ago Gizmodo published their
review of the Braun Pulsonic. Around the same time
Popular Mechanics did the same. And a quite positive one at that.
The Pulsonic's head vibrates laterally, making the skin on your face ripple, and making hairs stand up a little straighter. Braun claims this reduces irritation while cutting closer, with less friction between blades and skin, and hairs hacked shorter than ever. I've been using the Pulsonic for weeks, and Braun is right: Compared to other electric shavers, the Pulsonic pulls off a smoother, less painful shave.
Makes sense. The vibrations are similar to the way the Gillette Fusion or Mach3 Power vibrates, which in all our testing here at ShavingStuff yielded a better and more comfortable shave.

I have been using a $30 shaver from WINNERS for last 10 mnths with mediocre results but no hot or burn feelings, I don't use razr blade bcuz it gives me red burns n I end up cutting myself; I just bought myself Braun Pulsonic 790cc, I've shaved twice and the foil feels hot against the skin, and it gave me sort of razr burns. Can any1 tell me if it's normal or is there anything wrong with my shaver n I should take it back for replacement, should the foil feel hot on skin or not? Thanks in advance.
