Don't Shave and Drive in Mexico
You know all those annoying people driving like idiots while talking on a cell phone? Yes, I know we've all done it, but it's still wrong. Here's something else that's wrong - driving and shaving. According to this article:
Authorities in Northern Mexico warns [sic] motorists that anyone who is caught putting on lipstick, shaving or holding a pet while behind the wheel, will be charged hefty fines in an attempt to lower the chances of traffic accidents.
Applying makeup or shaving while driving will cost the drivers 346 pesos ($32) in Torreon in Northern Mexico City.
So here's my question: How many people had to get cited for a moving violation while shaving before someone government took action? Here in the States getting government to do anything is a Herculean effort. Does Mexico have a more efficient city hall? And back to the point - what were they shaving with?
