2009 NYC Beard & Moustache Championships

I'm starting to see a lot more men growing some kind of facial hair, from goatees to soul patches and trimmed beards. Some guys really do it up. I've never gotten very fancy with my style, so I can't imagine entering a contest, but if you have a killer beard, maybe an awesome moustache or sweet soul patch that really stands out, you ought to sign up for the 2009 NYCBMC and show off your stuff.
The event will be held at the Public Assembly (70 N 6th St, Brooklyn, NY) on March 14, 2009 at 8 pm. The categories are Full Beard Natural and Freestyle, Patchy Beard, Sideburns, Goatee, Moustache, and Ladies Artificial (yes, you read that correctly).
You don't necessarily have to go to New York to participate. You can enter to win a 'Beard Prize Pack': make a video about your facial hair and what makes it unique for a YouTube video contest. Tag your videos with 2009 NYCBMC (plus your name), upload them, and send the link to info@nycbmc. While certainly not as exciting as attending the event in person, the video contest is sure to have a ton of creative entries.
