Remington MicroFlex Rotary Shaver

16607-large.jpgAnother hot deal courtesy of Dealnews: the Remington R-835 MicroFlex 100 Rotary Shaver is on sale at Amazon for only $27.99.

Each MicroFlex shaver features state-of- the-art technology, including independently floating heads that adjust to the contours of your face for a fast, comfortable shave. The Fast-Track cutting system with 60% more slots and 33% more blades than other rotary shavers. [...] In addition, the Easy-View Trimmer provides an unobstructed view for shaping your sideburns, mustache, or beard.

Nice that they're designing razors which aren't just for shaving everything off.

The Flashiest Electric Razor Ever - The Norelco 7745X Cool Skin

Have you seen this electric razor? It's green. And blue. It's green and blue. It's a green and blue electric razor. And it excretes lotion while you're shaving.

Norelco's Cool Skin Razors can be used in or out of the shower. Cool Skin shaves as close as a blade with less irritation when using the HQ170 lotion cartridges. The convenience of an electric without the nicks and cuts of a blade! The Cool Skin Razor dispenses Nivea for Men Shaving Lotion or Gel that sets your beard up for an unexpectedly close and comfortable wet shave, leaving your face feeling smooth and refreshed.

The Norelco 7745X Cool Skin Wet / Dry Electric Shaver is available at Amazon for $88.99 and qualifies for free shipping. It's actually got a ton of cool features like wet/dry shaving, 40 minutes of battery life, and an LCD screen which probably gets local traffic reports. I want one just because it's green.

"The Bodygroom Can Help Make Your D!%# Look Bigger"

Oh my god. Please, please click over to ShaveEverywhere.com and have a good laugh. The site introduces the Philips Norelco BG2020 Men's Bodygroom, which until recently wasn't available in the US. (We covered it back in July of '05 when it was out in the UK.)

But I digress. The site - ShaveEverywhere.com. I've poo-pooed Flash in the past, and I'm still not crazy about it, but if it can deliver this type of marketing and humor, I guess I'll have to change my mind.

Look, by the time you're reading this it's probably going to be Friday, or maybe Monday morning if you're one of our email subscribers, and you're likely not in any mood to do real work. I'm not going to spoil it for you, aside from the title of this post. Just click, and enjoy.

And if you're interested, the Norelco Men's Bodygroom is available at Amazon for $39.99. Special thanks to all readers who sent this in, including Charles and Ben.

Electric Razor Deals at Amazon

Couple of electric razor deals at Amazon we thought you should know about...

First up it's the Remington MS2-370 Titanium MicroScreen 2 Screen Shaver, on sale for $25.01, which means it qualifies for free shipping. This is a cord/cordless razor, so even if you run out of juice you can always plug it in and go. If this little guy isn't right for you, check out Amazon's Remington offer. Buy $99 worth of Remington gear and get a $40 Amazon gift card for a future purchase. Not too shabby.

Next we've got the Norelco 6843XL Reflex Plus Rechargeable Cord/Cordless Men's Shaving System, on sale for $44.99 (which also qualifies for free shipping). Again, a cord/cordless model, which features a "full-width pop-up trimmer" for managing sideburns or other edges. The Norelco has a 60 day satisfaction guarantee, so if you don't like it send it back. However judging by the user feedback on Amazon, this one's a keeper.

Thanks to dealnews.com for these.

Update on Hitachi's +10 Razor of Goodness

Back in September of '05 we reported on the Hitachi RM-SX100, a new electric razor with 10 internal blades. The main site which we got our small tidbits of information from was in an Asian language which we incorrectly reported as Japanese. Shame on us. I'm grateful to ShavingStuff reader Tony who recently wrote in and not only correctly pointed out that the page is in Korean, but even translated it.

The title reads: "Hitachi's 10-blade rotary-style water-proof electric razor"

Below the first picture it says:
"Hitachi is planning to release a 'Waterproof Electric Razor (Model RM-SX100)' which is equipped with ten blades in a rotary style razor."

Below the second pic:
"This product is not one that just gives you a deep, clean shave with it's high speed continuous rotation, but one that will give you visible results going in only direction and without changing speeds."

And the third pic:
"It has also been equipped with a rotary washer, which has had it's rinsing effectiveness improved."

So, thought you would just like to know. Also the tech spec box said it comes with a 220V DC adapter and it is water-proof(which I think it had already stressed enough).

Awesome. Thanks Tony.

To see the pictures go to this page on www.aving.net. The Hitachi RM-SX100-A is currently available on Amazon.co.jp in cool metallic blue (pictured) for ¥7,580, down from ¥8,526 when we first reported on it. Still no word on US availability.

Norelco 6423LC Corded Men's Shaver

Here's a quick electric razor alert - the Norelco 6423LC Corded Men's Shaver is on sale at Amazon for only $33.99, and that includes shipping. This guy isn't too flashy, but for 34 bucks you get a decent razor which is great for international travel. The Norelco 6423LC features "automatic worldwide voltage", however I think you might still need different plug adaptors for different countries. It does come with a car cord adaptor, but please, don't use it while you're on your cell.

Panasonic Pro Curve Men's Shaver Triple Blade

PanasonicES8018K.jpgAmazon is currently selling the Panasonic ES8018K Pro Curve Men's Shaver Triple Blade with Linear Motor for only $42.01, and that includes shipping! Boy is that a mouthful.

Some key points - the shaver can be washed with water, but it is not a true wet/dry so you can't use it in the shower. It works with or without the cord plugged in, which means you don't have to wait for it to charge if the battery ran out, however it fully charges in only an hour. Oh, and the motor spins at 13,000 rpms. And the motor is linear. Does that really matter? I have no idea, but someone thought you should know.

Panasonic ES8077S Vortex HyrdroClean

vortex.jpgBack in October we reported on the Panasonic ES8077S Vortex HyrdroClean which had fallen to $129.99. Now this electric razor is down to $86.51 at Amazon. The catch - the old rebate. The current price on Amazon is $106.51, but there's a rebate which gets you $20 back. So be diligent. Manufacturers and retailers are counting on you to forget to send the rebate in. Prove them wrong! Save some money. Be a smart consumer. And enjoy your shave.

More Electric Shaver Deals Amazon

norelco-elec.jpgCouple of electric razor options if you're looking to buy - Amazon is offering the Norelco 6613X Reflex Plus Rechargeable Cordless Men's Shaving System for $29.99, which includes free shipping. There are several 5-star reader reviews for this shaver, but what caught my eye was the Amazon product description by "Emily Bedard". First of all, what's a women doing reviewing an electric razor meant for a man's face? And second of all, what kind of a name is Emily Bedard? Seems a little strange that "Bedard" is only one letter away from "Beard". I have my suspicions.

braun-370.jpgThe second great deal is the Braun 370 Pocket Twist Plus, Battery Operated Shaver for only $10.99 (although you'll have to pad your order to $25 to get the free shipping). Don't be fooled by this guy's little price. Strong reader reviews on this one too, including one in all-caps. SOMEONE REALLY LIKES THIS RAZOR.
